KAMUELA, Hawai‘i—May 20, 2014—The Kohala Center is seeking Hawai‘i Island high school students and recent graduates to get their hands dirty this summer as paid interns with its Beginning Farmer-Rancher Development Program. The Kohala Center received a $562,000 grant to create and deliver Kū I Ka Māna, a beginning farmer training initiative. The County of Hawai‘i is providing the necessary matching funds to secure the USDA grant. » Read more
