High school agricultural internships offer stipends
KAMUELA, Hawai‘i—May 20, 2014—The Kohala Center is seeking Hawai‘i Island high school students and recent graduates to get their hands dirty this summer as paid interns with its Beginning Farmer-Rancher Development Program. Students may apply now for the program’s two-week agriculture summer internships to be held June 16–27 and July 14–25. Sessions will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily Monday–Friday and are based at the program’s Ka Hua ‘Aina farm in Honoka‘a.
