These experiences are designed to deepen our kinship with Kohala and our watersheds, restoring our ability as a community to engage and build healthy relationships with our native environment once again. Depending on the environmental conditions of the day, we will learn protocols such as oli (chants) and pule (prayers, blessings) for entering sacred spaces and encouraging growth and resilience, remove invasive plants and weeds, plant native trees and shrubs, and nurture young trees to grow healthy and strong.

September 17–20, 2019—This QuickBooks workshop is intended for businesses actively producing agricultural crops for commercial sales. It is best suited for those who want to increase their accounting skills by using QuickBooks (QB) software for farm financial recordkeeping. Registrants should already be using QuickBooks (desktop or online version) and have some accounting experience.
Saturday, September 21, 2019—With a mass coral bleaching event currently underway across the Hawaiian Islands, the sessions are being offered to give community members information they can use to reduce their impact on coral reef ecosystems, and to share that knowledge with their families, friends, fellow community members, and visitors.

Discover the art and culture of stewarding plants and seeds, participate in a seed-saving workshop, and learn how to conduct successful variety trials in your garden and more.
