Brown Environmental Leadership Lab–Hawai‘i for High School Students: Application deadline

Brown Environmental Leadership Lab (BELL) – Hawai‘i
Application deadline: January 26, 2015
Program dates: March 21-29, 2015

The Kohala Center and Brown University are offering tuition scholarships for two high school students: one specifically for a Hawai‘i Island resident, the other for an eligible student residing anywhere in the state of Hawai‘i.

This select national leadership program integrates the development of leadership skills with outstanding opportunities for high school students to study the biology, ecology, and cultural traditions of the Island of Hawai‘i.

Program activities include meeting with cultural practitioners to learn about the culture and history of the island, camping near the ocean, and learning about coral reef ecology and management. In addition to providing incredible adventures and experiences, the program gives students a chance to identify and develop their group-building and leadership skills.

Visit the BELL Web site for more program details.

Please download all application materials here, or call The Kohala Center at 808-887-6411 to request an application.
