“Hua Ka Hua—Restore Our Seed” was a symposium held April 17-18, 2010 at the Keauhou Beach Resort with the goal of developing a Hawai‘i Public Seed Initiative. Symposium participants shared necessary background information with a diverse audience including speakers from the University of Hawai‘i, the Organic Seed Alliance, the Hawai‘i Organic Farmers Association, and panels of local farmers, public policy experts, and agricultural economists.
