Hoa‘āina Stewardship Day

November 23, 2019—Journey with us into the Koai‘a Corridor at one or more of our Hoa‘āina Stewardship Days! These experiences are designed to deepen our kinship with Kohala and our watersheds, restoring our ability as a community to engage and build healthy relationships with our native environment once again. Depending on the environmental conditions of the day, we will learn protocols such as oli (chants) and pule (prayers, blessings) for entering sacred spaces and encouraging growth and resilience, remove invasive plants and weeds, plant native trees and shrubs, and nurture young trees to grow healthy and strong.

Mālama Kahalu‘u community work day

December 7, 2019—Join us and fellow community stewards to help care for Kahalu‘u Beach Park. We will spend a few hours together painting the pavilion, railings, and benches, pulling weeds, and picking up litter. All ages are welcome!
Please bring:
• Reusable beverage container
• Reef-friendly sun protection
• Clothing that can get dirty
We’ll provide all painting supplies, coffee, water, snacks, and pizza!

Introduction to Accounting for Hawai‘i Farmers

Wednesday, April 22, 2020—This virtual meeting is intended for commercial agriculture businesses seeking to improve their accounting knowledge and skills by using accounting software (such as QuickBooks) for farm financial recordkeeping. The course will cover topics such as chart of accounts set-up, cash receipts, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, and more. Participation is free, but advance registration is required.
