Ōhāhā High School AgriCULTURE Program – CANCELED

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have canceled this session of Ōhāhā.

March 16–20, 2020—Our Ōhāhā intersession programs help high school students deepen kinship with ‘āina and local agriculture through ‘ike that will also help them flourish in life. Participants will:

  • Learn from ‘āina and kūpuna, and engage in service learning
  • Work on a farm and in lo‘i kalo (taro patch)
  • Engage with a broad range of Hawaiian cultural protocols and sustainable agriculture practices
  • Discover educational and career opportunities in agriculture to improve food security
  • Gain deeper understanding of fulfilling kuleana to ‘āina, ‘ohana, and lāhui
  • Receive a gift card worth up to $125 for successfully completing the one-week program and take home plants to grow in their gardens (or start one)!
