September 1, 2018—Start a successful year in your school learning garden! Join facilitators Amanda Rieux and Wendy Baker and learn how to establish garden protocol and routines, set up key garden systems with tools and compost, plan for schedules and curriculum integration. We will share and learn best practices for various school garden environments and grade levels.
Join a strong, vibrant community of Hawai‘i Island educators who use learning gardens and support each other to sustain their gardens throughout the year. We encourage teams of classroom and garden teachers from schools to attend.
Registration is $25 per person and includes lunch, course materials, and garden snacks. Visit digging-in.eventbrite.com to register and for additional information. Registration closes August 30.
Please bring a water bottle, note-taking instrument, protection from the elements (sun, wind, rain), and closed-toe shoes.
