A full day in the field photographing the splendor of Kohala Mountain’s native flora and fauna with wildlife biologist and award-winning photographer Jack Jeffrey. Kohala Watershed Partnership coordinator Melora Purell will be our experienced guide on a two-mile hike into this wondrous area. Learn to photograph plants, flowers, insects, scenic views, and other native natural history subjects the way the professionals photograph them. You’ll see common, rare, and endangered native plants—and maybe a Happy Face Spider or two. Jack will discuss various aspects of nature photography including equipment, exposure, composition, lighting, close-ups, and photo ethics.
