April 9, 2016—Building a sustainable food system in Hawai‘i requires farmers and gardeners to understand their seed-saving goals and collectively work together to improve genetic diversity of locally adapted seed varieties. Join us for a day of presentations and demonstrations by locally and nationally renowned seed experts Forest Shomer, Glenn Teves, Russell Nagata, and Lyn Howe, followed by a potluck, seed exchange, and tastings of trial varieties.
If you can bring a potluck dish and seeds to share, please do, although not required. Please respect our no-soil policy: to reduce the spread of disease and invasive species, please only bring clean seeds and cuttings.
