Black Soldier Fly Lecture and Workshop
Date: March 13, 2013 — 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Location: Aupuni Conference Center, Hilo
Dr. Jeff Tomberlin from Texas A&M University is a pioneer looking into the possibility that black soldier fly larvae — “grubs” to the uninitiated — could be used to turn organic wastes into high-protein animal feeds. Tomberlin believes the use of black soldier fly larvae should be well adapted for small- and medium-size livestock producers. Download the Flyer.
