Dr. Janet McDonald of the FDA will present a current overview of two proposed regulations: “Standards for the Growing, Harvesting, Packing, and Holding of Produce for Human Consumption” and “Current Good Manufacturing Practices and Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Food.” In addition to the basic provisions of the proposed rules, information will be provided on exemptions, proposed compliance dates, how to submit comments to FDA, education and training, and how to learn more about FSMA.
