HAWAI‘I SEED FEST: Local Seeds for Local Needs

September 22–23, 2018—Come be part of local community conversations on the hows and whys of growing seeds specifically adapted for Hawai‘i. Check out variety trials in progress, learn how to conduct successful trials in your garden, talk story with local seed growers, and meet others in your community interested in improving local food security.

  • Pāhoa, Hawai‘i Island: Saturday, September 22 • 4–6 p.m. • Milk and Honey Farm
  • Honalō, Hawai‘i Island: Saturday, September 22 • 9 a.m.–1 p.m. • Kawanui Farm
  • Makawao, Maui: Sunday, September 23 • 9 a.m.–noon • Pono Grown Farm Center
  • Waimānalo, O‘ahu: Saturday, September 22 • 3:30–6:30 p.m. • GoFarm Hawai‘i Plots, Waimānalo Research Station

Pāhoa, Hawai‘i Island, Honalō, Hawai‘i Island, and Makawao, Maui:
The cost to attend the Hawai‘i Island and Maui events is $8, and registration may be completed online at kohalacenter.eventbrite.com or by calling The Kohala Center at 808-887-6411.

Waimānalo, O‘ahu:
There is no cost to attend the O‘ahu event; contact Jay Bost at jbost@hawaii.edu to register.
