The newest Mellon-Hawai‘i Doctoral and Postdoctoral Fellows typically convene on Hawai‘i Island in the autumn for “Induction Weekend,” to deliver scholarly presentations of their dissertations or book manuscripts, and to network with a panel of distinguished academic publishers. To mark the program’s fifth year, however, fellows and mentors from the first four years joined this year’s cohort for a weekend of presentations, networking, support, and celebration.
