Landmark Game

AIMs game with pictures and words
really is fun for the second graders, plus
they will take it home after they play it.
Gave them plastic bags for the pieces and
put the vocabulary on a construction paper ba
backing. Try this one.

Bubbles

Students enjoyed blowing bubbles on their
desk as well as black construction paper.
(Be sure to put paper under the black so inck won’t drip.) Then we turned off lights and
they enjoyed looking at the gas molecules
moving around and leaving a silver lining. I
used a flashlight to see the sparkling
lights.

Energy Transformations

Upon first introducing the concept of energy transformations, my students had a hard time grasping this concept.  However, when learning about it in situation that was more relevant to them – Solar Cars, they were all able to understand it a lot better.

Static Electricity Lesson

I am getting ready to teach “Static Strokes.”  Has anyone else taught this yet?  What did you use for an assessment?

En”light”enment

Teachers and students light bulbs went on as we studied and learned about kinestetic and heat energy.  “Oh, I get the idea!” were the responses of both teacher and students.

science
