Class Project: Po‘o Hawai‘i Pond Restoration
Students collected physical and biological data to analyze the ecological conditions in Po‘o Hawai‘i Pond at Kahalu‘u Bay, including water quality parameters; depth and volume measurements based on tidal fluctuations; and invertebrate, fish, and plant population studies. This data will be used to provide recommendations to Keauhou Beach Resort and Kamehameha Investment Corporation to help restore the pond.
