Class Project: Comparing Kahalu‘u Beach Park & Kūki‘o Beach Park
This project consisted of the following components to determine differences between Kahalu‘u and Kūki‘o Beach Parks:

• Coral and Algal cover transect surveys to determine percent of coral and algal species;
• Water Quality study comparing parameters such as pH, temperature, salinity, phosphate, nitrate and ammonia;
• A human use survey to determine the number of visitors to both beach parks;
• A ReefWatchers Fish transect survey to count abundance of certain fish species.
